Since 2023, WeChat Pay accepts foreign Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards — making it accessible to tourists without a Chinese bank account. It’s the single most important payment setup for visiting China. WeChat Pay is accepted at virtually every shop, restaurant, taxi, transport platform and tourist attraction in the country. How do I set up WeChat Pay step by step?
